Meet Karen
Karen is a Registered Nutritional Therapist who supports clients through the Mind Body Biome programmes with a personalised, evidence-informed and whole-person approach.
A Personal Introduction From Amanda
When I decided to welcome an associate practitioner into Mind Body Biome, finding the right person mattered far more than finding someone quickly.
I wasn't simply looking for another nutritional therapist. I was looking for someone whose values genuinely aligned with the way I believe this kind of support should feel.
Karen is one of those people.
From our earliest conversations it became clear that we shared many of the same beliefs. We both believe that health is about far more than nutrition alone. We both believe in helping people better understand their bodies, empowering them to make informed choices rather than relying on quick fixes or restrictive approaches. And we both believe that lasting wellbeing is built through sustainable change, not perfection.
I'm delighted that Karen is now part of Mind Body Biome, and I'm really looking forward to you meeting her.
Karen Murray

I'm Karen, originally from Dublin and now based in London. Before becoming a nutritional therapist, I qualified as a primary school teacher, but there was always another passion quietly running alongside it.
For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by the way food can influence how we feel, and long before I considered changing careers, nutrition had become a huge part of my everyday life. I was forever reading about it and discovering natural ways to support my own health and wellbeing.
In 2019, I decided to take a leap of faith and study Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). It completely changed the way I understood health.
During my training, I became fascinated by how interconnected our body systems are. Learning about the gut and its influence on everything from digestion and immunity to mood, hormones and energy gave me a completely new perspective on health.
I also learnt that looking after ourselves doesn't have to be complicated. Often, it's about coming back to the basics, listening to our bodies and building simple habits that genuinely support us.
For me, nutrition is about nourishing your body in a way that feels enjoyable, realistic and sustainable.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing someone regain their confidence, energy and enjoyment of life. Being trusted to support people on that journey is a privilege, and it's the reason I love what I do.
When I'm not working, I love heading to a run club, going to gigs or exploring one of London's many food markets.
I love that there's always something happening in the city. You'll often find me at a nutrition or wellbeing talk or event, and I'm always interested in learning something new or hearing a different perspective.
I'm a nutritionist who loves her food. I enjoy trying new restaurants, mooching around food markets and finding a really good cinnamon bun.
Just before I moved to London in 2023, I started playing tennis, hoping it might help me meet people. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. It's introduced me to a great community and has become a regular part of my week.
As much as I enjoy city life, I've also learnt how important it is to slow down. Making time to walk, rest and step away from the busyness of everyday life helps me feel grounded.
Although London now feels like home, I'll always be happiest by the sea.
A Practical, Personalised Approach
My approach to nutritional therapy is practical, personalised and focused on helping you better understand what's influencing your health.
I work with people experiencing a wide range of health concerns, with a particular interest in digestive health, hormonal health, blood sugar balance and metabolic health.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person and every story is different, so we'll look at your symptoms, health history, nutrition and everyday life to understand what support makes the most sense for you.
My role isn't to overwhelm you with complicated protocols or unrealistic expectations. It's to help you make sustainable changes that feel achievable in everyday life.
Throughout your programme, I'll be the person who gets to know you, supports you and helps you make sense of your health.
You'll leave each consultation feeling more informed, more confident and clear about your next step.
Your First Consultation

Starting with a new practitioner can feel like a big step, but there's no expectation for you to arrive with everything figured out.
Your first consultation is simply an opportunity for me to get to know you.
You don't need perfectly completed food diaries.
You don't need to know what's causing your symptoms.
And you certainly don't need to have all the answers.
Together we'll explore your health history, current symptoms, goals and the many different factors that influence your health, including nutrition, lifestyle, stress, sleep and everyday routines.
From there, we'll begin making sense of the bigger picture and develop a personalised approach that feels realistic, achievable and tailored to you.
We'll continue meeting regularly throughout your programme, building on what we learn together and adapting your approach as your health and priorities evolve.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you throughout your journey.

Part Of The Mind Body Biome Team
Karen brings her own expertise and professional experience to Mind Body Biome, while sharing the same values and commitment to personalised care that underpin our practice.
While Karen will be your Nutritional Therapist throughout your programme and the practitioner you work with directly, Amanda remains actively involved in your care through regular case discussions, reviewing your progress and meeting with you at key points throughout your programme, including dedicated consultations during the middle and final stages.
It's a collaborative way of working that gives you the consistency of one practitioner getting to know you and supporting you throughout your programme, while also benefiting from the wider thinking and experience of the Mind Body Biome practice.
We're Looking Forward To Meeting You
Thank you for placing your trust in Mind Body Biome.
We believe that feeling comfortable, understood and connected is just as important as the nutritional support itself. Building that relationship starts with getting to know one another, so I hope this page has helped you feel a little more familiar with our team and how we work before your first consultation.
You're in very good hands, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
